Aluminium Industry. The pure form of aluminium does not naturally occur, but can be extracted using mainly bauxite and electricity. First bauxite ore, which contains aluminium, is mined and processed into alumina or aluminium oxide. Using electrolytic processes, pure aluminium is then isolated.
